Star Wars: Phasma by Delilah S Dawson; Book Review, Plot Summary & Character Bio, Plus Who Killed Brendol Hux? And The First Order & Resistance Before The Force Awakens

The first book review of 2024 has landed! Mike reviews Phasma by Delilah S Dawson, giving his spoiler-free thoughts on the book and related characters, plus confirming what other Phasma content people can consume to enjoy the character even more, before he gives his full spoiler-filled thoughts! In his spoiler-filled thoughts he talks about themes, specific characters, impact on the canon and gives a plot overview for anyone who hasn’t read the book.

Phasma was written by Delilah S Dawson and was released September 1st 2017 and in-universe the novel’s framing story takes place at 34ABY while the majority of the flashback story is in 24ABY.

Mike delved into the Captain Phasma comic mini-series (explaining how she survived The Force Awakens) back in episode 5 of Star Wars: Comics In Canon and delved into her Age Of Resistance one-shot in ep 52.

Mike also reviewed Delilah S Dawson’s other Star Wars novel; Inquisitor: Rise Of The Red Blade in October 2023.

Star Wars: Comics In Canon – Poe Dameron: A Fuel Heist, Propaganda & A Resistance Traitor, Plus Xexto, Y-Wings, Squamatan & The First Order (Poe Dameron Vol 3: Legend Lost #14-19) – Ep 91

THE RESISTANCE TRAITOR IS FOUND AND LEIA HIRES A ROGUE JOURNALIST! In ep 91, Mike goes through the story of the third volume of Poe Dameron comics, which starts with a funeral & some touching dialogue, before The Resistance plan a fuel heist, track down the traitor in their midst, plan to record the First Order doing no-good all while trying to avoid dying in the process! Plus Mike delves into the Squamatan & Xexto species and gives info on Y-Wings!

Volume 3 of Poe Dameron is set around 32ABY (2 years before The Force Awakens, 28 years after Return Of The Jedi).

Poe Dameron 14 was released May 2017, issue 19 was released September 2017 and the trade paperback collection was released November 2017. Charles Soule is the writer of these comics, with Angel Unzueta as artist and Arif Prianto as colour artist!

This episode was first released on the feed of Comics In Motion, in March 2022.
