#225 – Clone Wars Conversations Season 2 Part 1 (E1-11): Returning To Geonosis, Dark Side Use, Mind Control, The Deserter & General Grievous

Clone Wars Conversations continues with the first half of Season 2 (Episodes 1-11)! The trio have delved into the Clone Wars movie and full first season so now they’re talking their time with specific episodes – the perfect Clone Wars companion podcast continues!

In more detail, they talk about the strange timeline of seasons 1, 2 & 3, the connections to the movie & season 1, Cad Bane as a villain and then the 5-episode-arc of the Return To Geonosis, before speaking about the last three one-off episodes, including The Deserter! As well as plenty of Clone-talks, our trio discuss each episode & arc in-depth while talking about the many character journeys, new characters and “background” characters that get a lot more screentime in the Clone Wars!

Star Wars: Comics In Canon – Yoda Series Vol 2: Yoda Enters The Dark Side Cave And An Old Mission With Anakin, Plus General Grievous & The Cave of Evil (Yoda Volume 2: #7-10) – Ep 139

YODA MUST MAKE PEACE WITH HIS PAST AND RE-ENTER THE DARK SIDE CAVE! For ep 139, Mike continues with the Yoda series by delving into the second half. We get another flashback, this time from the Clone Wars with Anakin and Yoda then argues with a ghostly voice about entering the “Cave of Evil” on Dagobah. Mike also gives information on General Grievous, as well as other familiar faces that pop up in these comics!

Yoda 7, 8 & 9 were written by Marc Guggenheim with Alessandro Miracolo as artist and Annalisa Leoni as colour artist, while Yoda 10 was written by Cavan Scott with art by Ibraim Roberson and colour art by Neeraj Menon. Issue 7 was released May 3rd 2023, issue 10 was released August 2nd 2023 and the trade paperback collection will be released 19th December 2023.

Star Wars: Comics In Canon – Ep 35: Jango Training Boba, Grievous’ Force Vision & Ventress’ Change Of Heart (Age Of Republic Villains)

This episode of Star Wars: Comics In Canon, features the last 3 Age Of Republic villains stories series; Jango Fett, General Grievous & Asajj Ventress! The first comic, about Jango Fett, shows him taking Boba on a job to give him some bounty hunter training, in Grievous’ comic he finds a jedi temple and has a force vision and Ventress’ comic serves as a prequel to a story-arc in the Clone Wars.

Please note this episode was originally released in November of 2020 on the feed of Comics In Motion.

Be sure to check out episode 2 for Maul’s AoR comic & biography, ep 26 shows Dooku’s biography & AoR story and episode 31 has Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon’s AoR stories – the final four Age Of Republic stories will be tackled in a month or so, before Mike delves into the next era; the Age Of Rebellion!

All Age Of Republic comics were written by Jody Houser. The artist for the Jango & Grievous comics was Luke Ross and Java Tartaglia was the colourist. The Asajj story’s artist was Carlos Gómez and the colourist was Dono Sánchez-Almara.

AoR Jango Fett 1: “Training” and the Asajj story “Sisters” (found in the AoR Special 1) were both released January 2019, while AoR Grievous 1: “Burn” was released in March 2019. The AoR Villains trade paperback was released in May 2019 while the AoR hardcover (with heroes & villains) was released February 2020.
