The High Republic: Edge Of Balance Precedent was written by Daniel José Older with the script & artwork by Tomio Ogata, it was published by Viz Media and was released May 23rd 2023.

The first volume of phase 2 Marvel comics were tackled in episode 126 (out May 13th 2023), second volume was in ep 135 and the first vol of High Republic Adventures comic (Dark Horse) was released in ep 132 (7th July) and vol 2 was in ep 135, out 9th September.

For ep 136, Mike finished Phase 2’s High Republic Adventures comics, where Sav Malagán’s tries to find herself amidst battling pirates, all while the Dank Graks kidnap Maz Kanata in an attempt to take Takodana! SAV MALAGÁN & MAZ KANATA GO AFTER A FORCE SENSITIVE GANG, BUT UNCOVER MORE THAN THEY EXPECT! For ep 132, Mike delves into Phase 2’s High Republic Adventures comics, where a young Sav Malagán sneaks off with the pirate queen Maz Kanata to chase down the Dank Graks, meeting some familiar faces along the way, but Sav must defy her Jedi Master to do so – will the adventure prove too much for this young padawan? Also Mike gives information on the Scarlett Skulls, Kyuzo and more!

This episode was first released on the feed of Comics In Motion, in July 2023.

High Republic Adventures (2022) issues 1-4 were written by Daniel José Older, with artwork by Toni Bruno and the colour artist is Michael Atiyeh. Issue 1 was released November 30th 2022, 4 was released May 3rd 2023 and the trade paperback collection is due for release on September 5th 2023.

Phase 2 book reviews were released in 2023; Path Of Deceit on 7th Jan, Quest For Hidden City on February 14th, Convergence on March 18th, The Battle Of Jedha on April 22nd and Cataclysm on 17th June, with the first volume/wave of Marvel’s phase 2 comics being tacked in episode 126 (out May 13th 2023).

Previously, in ep 131, Mike confirms WHAT DID YODA DO BEFORE THE HIGH REPUBLIC AND HOW WAS HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH DOOKU BEFORE THE PHANTOM MENACE? Mike delved the first 6 issues of Yoda, which contain 2 story arcs; the first set during the High Republic era where he goes to the planet Turrak to help Scalvi natives, while the second is set before The Phantom Menace, where Yoda asks Dooku to help train some initiates, but when a Wookiee has a vision about a Trandoshian initiate, tensions rise, especially with Yoda & Dooku’s conflicting views on such matters. Mike gives information on Dooku, Dagobah, Coruscant and more!

Star Wars: Comics In Canon: Unforeseen Feelings, Qort’s History & The Galactic Bake-Off, Plus Zeen Mrala, Lula Talisola, Nihil, Aloxians, Er’Kits & Nunas (High Republic Adventures [2021] Vol 3: #9-13 & Bake-Off) – Ep 93

AS THE PADAWANS GROW IN STRENGTH, AS DO THE NIHIL! Ep 93 features the finale of the High Republic Adventures comics, as Mike tackles the final issues and the Galactic Bake-Off Spectacular! In these comics Mike takes you through Qort’s origin story, a deepening connection between Zeen Mrala & Lula Talisola, the Great Jedi Rumble Race, the Nihil conspiring and a special cooking story, plus information on the Aloxian, Er’Kit & Nuna species, the Krell Sisters, loadlifter droids & more!

These High Republic comics are set in 230BBY, in the first phase & third wave of the High Republic, just before The Fallen Star.

This episode was first released on the feed of Comics In Motion, in April 2022.

The High Republic Adventures 9 was released 6th October 2021, issue 13 was released 23rd February 2022, the Galactic Bake-Off Spectacular was released 19th January 2022 and the trade paperback collection is out September 2022.

Daniel José Older is the writer of these comics, with help from Vita Ayala on the Bake-Off Spectacular one-shot. Rebecca Nalty was the colour artist on all comics. Harvey Tolibao was artist on issues 11-13, Pow Rodrix helped with the art on issue 12, Toni Bruno was artist for issues 9, 10 & the Bake-Off while Jo Geyong was co-artist & co-colour artist on the Bake-Off.

Mike tackled the first volume of High Republic Adventures comics in ep 86 of SWCIC and vol 2 in ep 90. He tackled the first volume of High Republic comics (by Cavan Scott) in episode 84 of SWCIC, with vol 2 in episode 88 and vol 3 in ep 92.

Mike’s High Republic book reviews are found on Comics In Motion’s feed and on Mike’s YouTube: Light Of The Jedi was released March 13th 2021, A Test Of Courage: August 14th 2021, Into The Dark: October 2nd 2021, The Rising Storm: November 13th 2021, Race To Crashpoint Tower: February 5th 2022 and Out Of The Shadows was released 19th March 2022. The Fallen Star review was released 23rd April 2022 and the last two books; Mission To Disaster & Midnight Horizon will be reviewed over the coming months.

Last episode, Mike released a spoiler-free book review for Claudia Gray’s The Fallen Star; last of the adult novels for the first phase of The High Republic. The book is set after The Rising Storm in the third wave of the High Republic’s first phase, set at the same time as Mission to Disaster & Midnight Horizon!
