Star Wars: The Battle Of Jedha By George Mann: Audio Drama Review & Plot Summary – Silandra Sho, Creighton Sun, Aida Forte & The Path Of The Open Hand – High Republic Phase 2, Wave 1

AFTER CONVERGENCE, THE BATTLE OF JEDHA DISRUPTS THE GALAXY! It’s time for another review of The High Republic, but this episode features the audio drama/script book written by George Mann for Phase 2 of this era; The Battle of Jedha! As per Mike’s other reviews, he begins by giving an overview of the era and provides information on the book itself, before he gives his spoiler-free thoughts. He then gives a mild spoiler warning and speaks more about the characters in the book, the themes and the plot information given in the first part of the book. Mike then reads the blurb/publisher’s summary and gives a major spoiler warning, before giving his thoughts on the whole book and finishes the episode with giving an overview of the book’s plot – this is a must-listen for any fans of The High Republic, especially if you’ve not listened to this audio drama!

This episode was first released on the feed of Comics In Motion, in April 2023.

The Battle Of Jedha is an audio drama written by George Mann, is set in Phase 2, Wave 1 of THR; 350 years before the Skywalker Saga and was released January 3rd 2023, the script book was released February 14th 2023.

Other Phase 2 High Republic book reviews that Mike has released, all in 2023, are; Path Of Deceit on 7th Jan, Quest For Hidden City on February 14th and Convergence on March 18th. A review for Cataclysm & the other phase 2 books will follow, as will THR comics, The Blade and other phase 2 content.

Previously, in ep 124, Mike released an episode that is technically not “canon” as it’s a comic that takes place in a Star Wars Visions continuity, more specifically, The Duel. This comic is a prequel to The Duel animated episode, which is also linked to the Ronin novel. Mike explores The Ronin’s story, confirms connections along the way and gives his interpretations to the ending.
